CELEBRATING THE SUCCESS OF MY FIRST BOOK/CD!!!! LET MY SOUL SURRENDER 

Spring and Summer 2012, The concert trail is hot! May 26th wraps with Michael and I appearing at an ecletic and fantastic Lightening In A Bottle Festival in Irvine, CA, June 9 at Celebrate Your Life Conference in Chicago. But the biggest thrill for me will be in traveling back to my hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina for a slammin Homecoming Celebration. My Second Ward High School Alumni Association, my old friends at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church (a church from my youth), my relatives (lots of them) and  friends will have several opportunities to participate with me as I do my thing in the place of my birth.

Those of you in close proximity to Charlotte, NC should plan to take a journey to see me (for real!). I promise to make it well worth the journey!!!! Also plan to buy more than one Let My Soul Surrender cd/book, because folks will want to borrow your book/cd and you may not get it back. No kidding... I have heard this comment a lot! 

And then, in July we travel on to Vienna, Copenhagen, London and Ireland... then it's back home for Agape's 14th Annual Soul Sisters Women's Retreat.  In other words... we are coming to see you so Get Ready!!! It's time to Celebrate. 

 About the Book...

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT... that a work such as Let My Soul Surrender would have as far reaching effect as it is having all over America. Folks are  feeling my true intention in this work which consists of stories, music, paintings and photographs.

AND WHAT IS THE INTENTION I HOLD? I want you to know how Art emerges from me. I want to continue to tell my stories - in my own voice and in my distinct way. I want you to know how music lives and breathes through this soul of mine... I thought it might be interesting to you... and guess what?

FOLKS ARE LOVING THE BOOK AS MUCH AS THE MUSIC ... Women, Men, Teens and even young children can understand it! And what's more, folks are returning to get copies for other members of their families. AMAAAAAAAZING!!!! (Can you tell how much fun I'm making so many new friends!!??)

aka Nobantu                                                                                                                                                   (Nobantu means the Mother of the Nation, the One who Loves the People and the One that the People Love. This name, Nobantu, was bestowed upon me during a naming initiation in Soweto, South Africa, 1992. All the attendees cheered in agreement that indeed, the name was a fit. And now, I am ready, willing and able to step into the power of what it means to be Nobantu.
