NEWS FLASH!!!

RICKIE IS WAKING UP!  How About YOU? Don't be duped by the bad news. Folks DO care and folks are doing more and more to make space for a healing to take place in our hearts and minds. 2010 is a great year to heal and to get on with the business of LIFE! The answer is you but not the you that hides away in convenient easy fried chicken living. I'm talking about the YOU that came with a dream and a purpose that you will discover in your ART, your SERVICE, your STORIES (the great ones where you learned something), and in your DANCE of life. I am waking UP in a whole new way. Won't you join me?

I started a school last year, and that was one of the greatest things I ever did. HOW AMAZING!!! This year, I want to become a concert promoter and really stretch into producing concerts that feature the amazing artists who walk with me. Look what happened a few days after I wrote this part...

NEWS FLASH! In response to the need for assistance due to the disastrous earthquake in Haiti, we put together a concert within three days that included The Agape International Choir, Agape Children's Choir, Niki Haris, Howard Hewitt, Chaka Khan, Tina Marie, Brenda Russell, MAMA Byars and me. (go to www.agapelive.com in the Live Stream section shows the whole thing). It was fantastic what we achieved together. We can do so much more and more often.

I can do it. I am saying I cause it is MY website (HA!) but I mean WE. No one does it alone (except for Rikk G.) and if you do, you know how lonely that can get and not to mention... tiring. Share the joy and and share the load. Life is better with a team and a functional one.... by ALL means! Let JOYOUS creativity guide you to create prosperous opportunities for yourself and all who walk beside you.

And folks, THANKS for your tremendous support of The LOVE Project. The album continues to move as well as all the other albums or cds of mine. I hear from so many that you LOVE the music that God gives to me. I truly appreciate the way you show it through your business. And if you have a cd that you play all the time but you haven't checked out another one... what are you waiting for? Try another one! Your support will assist in a new CD hopefully to be released this Fall. 

INCREDIBLE NEWS!!! 

My husband, Michael Bernard Beckwith, myself (woohoo!), the Agape Choir, Niki Haris, Siedah Garrett, Will.I.AM, Ronnie Robinson and Tim McAfee-Lewis  continue to be featured in a dynamic PBS special, THE ANSWER IS YOU that is now airing all over the USA. CHECK IT OUT!!! It's really, really good. Agape Media Int'l did a fantastic job in producing the show. Please watch it and be inspired to order a CD or DVD from the program to support Public Broacdasting Stations.

Your support will also encourage local PBS stations to replay the special and the music and message of Agape will be heard all over America. To date, the PBS markets are BOOMING with interest and folks are LOVING the special. The music is wonderful and you will really enjoy it. So don't miss it. YUMMY NEWS!

In the Land just a few miles east of my house, the Agape International Choir, 200 volunteers and some very incredible talent from the Central City East District of Los Angeles (also know as Skid Row), ROCKED an event called Street Lights on San Pedro. In a 27,000 Sq. Ft. parking lot that was generously offered by the Weingart Center, barbers, manicurists, Artists, Vendors who donated food, singers, poets, musicians, and the Los Angeles Poverty Department Theater Ensemble all gathered for an amazing collaborative event on December 19. I spent the day with folks I have wanted to meet for a very long time. And it was not a hard thing to do once we made the first step. This is a NEW YEAR and already I can feel the power in our intention to share more time, resources and ideas with those who live in shelters or on the street just a few miles east of my house.

So what else is up! A great sky above and infinite chances to find a way to love.

Dream with me for a moment....... my turn. I dream of starting a great school for children K-12 who would benefit from a creative approach to learning (and I HAVE!!! It's called Kuumba in Motion ages 3 to 13 - a Saturday FUN place!). I dream of learning how to swim really well (yikes!) I dream of putting an end to slavery, any kind and anywhere, once and for all. I dream of building healing centers where people can really get healed, not just medicated. I dream of building an archive of the songs Michael and I have written for the last 21 Years (And we have begun this work!!!). I dream that the whole world will know what it feels like to live in health, wholeness and happiness. 

Let it be so that we each do our part to make the world a better place. We got a GOOD incarnation this time. Let's DO something with it! And I dream of singing to you real soon, and celebrating the beauty of what we can be when we express the wonder in our soul.
