There are always those folks who pull me to the side and request that I do a recording with piano and voice; not too polished, with all the things that I consider imperfect in tact. Well, it's not easy to accept all those little things that we usually try to subdue in recordings. After all, who wants to hear a shaky note, a raspy edge, a wrong note... In general, the response has been that YOU do when the performance is full of heart. So I quote one of my favorite songwriters, Sly Stone," I just want to thank you for letting me be myself again." And for those individuals who love me as I am, this one's for you.

Soul Fulfilling
I am inspired at the requests I receive for more music in the, “Classic Rickie,” piano/vocal style. Soul Fulfilling, my first solo piano/vocal recording is simply presented and reveals the songs in their original version. I did the record in one sitting performing some of the songs that would be included on the soon to be released From Within CD. In addition, I chose to include other favorites like, Blessed Always, I Walk inthe Love of God and God is All There Is. People who like to hear me sing solo at the piano find Soul Fulfilling to be truly what the title implies. This CD continues to sell very well, showing that simplicity is still in demand and, many times, is preferred.
